This valve body kit deals with these problems:

  • Late shifts
  • Weak shifts
  • Band failure
  • Harsh downshifts
  • Converter shudder
  • Front seal problems
  1. A "Ben Law" accumulator check valve is supplied in the kit to give a much quicker release of the band when shifting into 3rd.  This valve, combined with the servo return spring supplied in the kit, saves the band from premature failure.
  2. A specially designed drain back valve installs into the cooler line to stop converter drainage.  This is a "must" for older units.
  3. The kit modifies early auxiliary valve bodies to eliminate lockup problems which are very common to these units.
