This retainer and clip is installed in the pump at the lube relief valve and spring. This clip is often found to be broken when rebuilding. When this clip is broken, the vehicle may exhibit problems with converter fill. The Superior retainer and clip replaces the thin O.E. clip with a steel end plug held in place with a new sure clip retainer.
